For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
To expect something means to look forward to the coming or occurrence of. Another way to look at this is to anticipate. When a woman is pregnant, she expects to give birth to a baby, whether it is a boy or girl after nine (9) months of pregnancy. She knows that during the nine (9) months, she must do the right things by this unborn child prior to his or her birth.
God is the same way. Before we were even conceived in our mother’s womb, God had a purpose and a plan for our lives. God knows what he expects out of us and what the end result will be before the beginning.
The question is do we know what to expect from God or even what God expects from us? Based on the life we are living, do we know what the end will be? Many of us don’t know or don’t want to know, because it may require that we give up some things. We may have to stay away from certain people or places in order to receive our expected end from God.
It is time for us to come up from out of our comfort zone.
It is time for us to do more for God.
It is time for us to take the limitations off of God and expect more.
