Give It To God (Book Appendix excerpt)

Ephesians 14:13-14
And Moses said unto the people fear ye not, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you today; for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever.  The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Just like the children of Israel, many of us have seen God at work.  We have seen God heal the sick and have personally experience God’s healing power.  We have seen God open blinded eyes; open doors that were once closed and have made a way out of no way time and time again.

In spite of everything God has done, some of us still doubt him when we are faced with a trying situation or our backs are up against a wall.  Instead of running to God, many of us run from God and find ourselves going over the same mountain, the same problem, the same situation over and over again.

Child of God, what Egyptians are you facing?  What type of bondage are you in?  What is hindering or holding you back from being that man or woman of God, God has called and created you to be?

Just as Moses told the Children of Israel, God is telling you, first of all not to fear, because he has not given you the spirit of fear.  Next, He wants you to stand still – don’t run, because He has your back.  Now standing still sometimes means keeping your mouth closed, because many of us can talk our way out of a blessing.

And finally, God wants you to see what He will do for you.  Not because of who you are, but because of who He is and the love He has for you.  God is saying to you through His Word, if you just turn everything over to me and stop trying to do it yourself, then I will make sure that you will never have to face that problem again.

Your enemies will be defeated when God is exalted and in total control.

Don't Be A Tare (Book Appendix excerpt)

Matthew 13:24-28 (a clause)
Another parable he put forth to them saying:  The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field, but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.  But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared, so the servants of the owner came and said to him, Sir did you not sow good seed in your field?  How then does it have tares? He said to them, an enemy has done this.

Tares, as it relates to the field, is said to closely resemble wheat, but are poisonous to human beings.  They are indistinguishable (impossible to tell apart) from wheat until the final fruit appears.  Within the body of Christ there are tares.  They walk, talk and even act like Christians, but their hearts are far from it.  The Bible says they have a form of godliness.

Many tares were once saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost.  Many of them were on fire for God, but then something happened.  The enemy known as the devil began to attack their mind with lies and every form of deceit.  He began to attack their body, their finances and even their family.  The enemy began to plant seeds of discard (feeling of abandonment), envy, strife, jealousy and even hate.  As time went on, they would move further and further away from God.  Before long they are trying to turn others away from God as well.

If I am talking to you, I want you to know that there is hope for you.  Although you have turned away from God, He has not turned His back on you.

2 Chronicles 7:14 states, If my people, which are called by name, shall humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Don’t be a tare.
Live for Jesus and receive eternal life.

Knowing The Seasons

In the natural, we have seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter) which is defined as a period of the year set off as by special activity. Such as Valentine’s Day, Easter and Christmas.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 Let's us know that everything has a time. vs 1-2 "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;”

Even as servants of the Lord, we must know what time it is as it relates to what God has called and pre-ordained for us to do. Not everyone was placed here to do everything. There are those who have and/or are trying while burning the candle at both ends.

Paul explains to us in I Corinthians 3:5-10 that even he had a job to do at a set time. He PLANTED while Apollos WATERED. Paul didn’t try to pull rank by planting and watering.
“Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.” (vs 5-7 (NKJV))

The bottom line is that it is not about you or me. It's all about God! So stay in your lane and be the best you that God has called and created you to be. NO MATTER WHAT! God has the final say. Amen!
